Digital Security Training in Collaboration with European Youth Press | Antwerp, Belgium

17 March 2017, Belgium - Bahrain Watch conducted a basic 101 digital security training to a group of 15 journalists from Europe and Ukraine in Antwerp on March 17th.

The European Youth Press had organized a week of trainings, lectures and workshops on different aspects of journalism and reporting on corruption.

During the training, the journalists were taught about the concepts of encryption and two factor authentication. We presented with examples of current methods of hacking including the use of malicious links, suspicious messages, and hidden signals and illustrated methods to differentiate between safe and malicious messages.

The students also participated in a threat model clinic where they identified tasks, risks, potential threats in order to identify ways to address today's online challenges and protect data in an efficient manner..
